Our testing of the Pro-Guide’s ability goes much further and deeper than in just how it feels and sounds in the hands of the shooter. The old saying, ‘out of site, out of mind” is precisely where we put our next test.

We knew from the start the material selection of the PG2 design was critical and had to have many properties to withstand numerous dynamics of implicational stress and wear. It had to have good mechanical properties to withstand the stress of force while maintaining its pliability.

One of the materials of choice for our guides were Delrin.  We chose this material because of its strong, flexable strength, light weight, and best of all its self-lubricating properties that made it a easy and a safe choice for our design function. Other suitable material traits we found desirable about Delrin is its ability to resist mositure and cracking making it a perfect combinating for our dual-guide arrangement.

Furthermore, Delrin offers resistance to liquids and has an excellent low coefficient of friction which we knew was necessary for a perfect bearing feature of the Pro-Guide2 riding inside of the piston.
